There is a reason that this restaurant has been in business for over 35 years. It is the atmosphere and incredible food. Irregardless has made it through over three decades of Raleigh’s growth as well as surviving a devastating fire several years back. Started in 1975, Irregardless was green before green was cool. They have always utilized the freshest of ingredients from local farms and markets. The interior is beautiful with oil paintings by Kyle Highsmith, which are reminiscent of classical impressionism.

For Thanksgiving, Irregardless will serve a Thanksgiving dinner in the café. The first seating will begin at 11:00 am and the last seating will be at 8:00 pm. All meals will be served from a menu, where you choose from menu options. Each starter, salad, entrée, and dessert is priced separately. Appetizers run around $10 and entrees range from $20 to $30. There are child’s portions available for half the price.

Starters include bruschetta, crab cakes, or a Middle Eastern platter. There is a warm goat cheese salad, a Caesar salad, and a garden salad amongst the salad offerings. There are many entrees to choose from including the traditional turkey dinner, rack of lamb, potato crusted salmon and a vegan shepherd’s pie. There are vegetarian options throughout the menu. Margaux’s in Raleigh, NC

You could get lost in the environment at Margaux’s in Raleigh, North Carolina, and forget to eat. Yet, the smells of the fresh food prepared here would take you back to your appetite. This delightful restaurant changes its menu daily to utilize the best of foods. The environment is one of a high energy metropolis meeting Southern soul food.

The staff at Margaux’s provides impeccable service and southern hospitality. The décor is vibrant, with many hues of red, a large aquarium, and a very large stone fireplace. There is a booth of booths that will seat several, and if you want it, you should call ahead and reserve it. There is eclectic modern art and photography gracing the walls.

For Thanksgiving, Margaux’s will be serving a Thanksgiving Day Buffet from 11:00 am until 5:30 pm. Each table will receive a family starter plate of sharp cheddar spread with crackers, as well as deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, and southern fried chicken wings. The Fearrington House Restaurant is located in a planned community on a historic farm. Here you can enjoy the best of Thanksgiving life in a beautiful rural environment. Fearrington, pronounced “Fairington,” is located near all three cities in Pittsboro, North Carolina. The restaurant prides itself in ‘farm to fork’ dining, using on the freshest of ingredients. The Inn and restaurant overlook extensive gardens and pastures and is a true fine dining experience.

The community itself has 2,000 residents who live in a home designed to complement the picturesque countryside. If you are interested in the area, book an overnight Thanksgiving at the Inn. The village also contains an independent bookstore, boutiques, and a spa. Keep in mind that the Spa will be open on Thanksgiving Day, so after your meal, you can wander over and have a nice spa treatment.

The Thanksgiving Luncheon will be served on Thanksgiving Day from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm. It is a three-course meal with dessert. For the first course, choose between a white onion and sage veloute or a butter-poached smoke shrimp Caesar salad. For the second course choose hot and cold smoked salmon with dill potato salad or honey baked ham with macaroni and cheese.

Then, for the third course, everyone is served the traditional roasted turkey and a mustard and country ham pie. There are many sides included such as rutabaga and nutmeg mash, collard greens, and a rosemary potato gratin. Dessert will be a white chocolate and banana bread pudding with peanut butter and caramel ice cream. The cost is $65 per person and reservations are required.

If you should find the Fearrington House Restaurant to be completely booked, there is also a smaller café on the village property named the Old Granary that will also be serving Thanksgiving dinner at $55 per person from noon to 4:00 pm.
