Goodwill Back-to-schoolThe time of year that parents love and some kids dread is just around the corner: Back-To-School!

This Thursday, most CMS students will return to school for another year of learning and growing. And we mean that literally – they grow out of their clothing so quickly that it seems they need a completely new wardrobe every year!

Believe it or not, you don’t have to break the bank to find great kid’s clothing for this upcoming school year. Head to one, (or more) of Goodwill’s 20 local stores, where you can find great clothing and great values every single day.

Plus, you can feel good about the values you find, knowing that 90 cents of every dollar you spend in our stores goes back into our community, funding Goodwill’s job training and employment programs.

Since most children’s items at Goodwill are priced at around $2.49 each, you can snag an outfit of new and gently-used designer brands. Just think: For $5 per outfit, you can dress your kiddo in great-looking clothes at a fraction of department store prices.

(You can find a full price list on our web site, here.)

You don’t have to take our word for it–check out the outfits our fabulous stylist and Goodwill shopper Haley pulled together this week. Don’t they look great?

You and your kids can look great too – we’re giving one lucky reader a chance to win a mini shopping spree to Goodwill! Leave us a comment below and let us know – what item of clothing your kids are begging for this fall? The winner will receive a $25 gift card to use at any of Goodwill’s 20 Charlotte-area locations.

Giveaway ends September 7th @12:00 am. The winners will be chosen at random, verified, emailed, and announced in a Winner’s post. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to the email from The Charlotte Moms to claim the prize, if the prize is not claimed within 48 hours a new winner will be chosen at random. I have 3 boys (2,4,6) and expecting a baby girl in 2-3 weeks. As metioned in the article, kids grow so fast and need new wardrobes every year. Imagine with 4 kids! My 2 year old love Thomas the train & my 4 and 6 yr old like anything with super heroes (Spiderman, Ironman, Transformers, ect). Also, since we will be having a girl for the first time we obviously need lots stuff for her! Plus with fall/winter around the corner all kids will need new stuff!

  5. Matthew says:

My kid is begging for a hoodie, but is very particular. It can’t be too big, nor too little. It can be zip up, but can’t have strings. It can’t have any text/graphic on it, for fear of it going immediately out of style.

Now – to find that at Goodwill is my next task ;)
