Adding decorations in a child’s room can be a little daunting, not because its hard to find cute things (far from it– it’s hard to narrow it down sometimes!), but because there is an added pressure of child safety. When I was designing my son’s nursery last summer, I desperately wanted to find something to put on the wall over his crib because it’s just a big blank space. It needed something. But what could be a safe option? I’ve seen some people put whatever they want up on the wall, but screw it in so it shouldn’t fall or be able to be tugged down. Personally I wanted an option that, well, falling wasn’t even an option. And I found it…it wall decals! Specifically, I found the solution at Uppercase Living.
If you haven’t heard of Uppercase Living, it is a company that sells vinyl decals that can be applied to any smooth surface, from walls to cookie plates, in just about any design and any color you can imagine. You can even create your own design using their MyDesign Suite, including your own life size photos. With 55 colors to chose from and specialty finishes, the options to personalize your home is truly endless and so much fun!
Their website is divided up into different categories, from what room you might place it in to options that go beyond the wall. There were some super cute ideas in the Nursery section that I would have loved to use, but since I wanted something that Jaxson could grow with, I decided to look beyond suggestions for a baby’s room. I found what fit my idea for his room actually in the Kids Bedroom section. My husband is a huge sports fanatic so I decide on using “Little MVP” in an orange that matched his crib sheet. With my husband’s help to make sure it was level (and for his extra height!), it was very easy to apply. And no risk of it falling!

Oh, I love all the wall decals. But my favorites are the giant initials, the dry erase calender decal, or the mod ones for a little boys room. It would be hard to decide!!
