Hi, my name is Katie Timmerman and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to contribute to The Charlotte Moms website. Our family moved to Charlotte in spring 2007. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and have three children with my husband Derik who challenges me everyday to be all that God wants me to be.
Together we have carved out a life together that we are so thankful for; however life brings curve balls, adventures and multi-tasking to a whole new level. Shortly after we married, my husband deployed to Iraq for a year,returned for 18 months, then deployed again for another year. During that time I learned the value of balance and renewal in the day-to-day.
As any mom understands, life with children has it’s ups and downs and will test your patience even on the best of days. The way I learned to meet this challenge has been a lifestyle balanced by nutrition,exercise and regular renewal.Which brings me to something that I feel very passionate about: which is Healthy Living. My goal is to serve you by providing fresh encouragement to challenge ourselves, both physically, spiritually and mentally so we may be able to endure what life throws at us and be able to help others as well.
Loving others and staying active as much as possible is what I enjoy most, especially when I can do it with my family. My boys keep me on my toes and seem to have limitless stores of energy. I do not merely want to keep up with them-I want to leave a legacy of the joy of being active. Thanks for coming with me on this journey!
