Meet the Moms: Jamie – Former Writer

TCM Jamie BioHello, Charlotte! My name is Jamie. I am a stay-at-home mom to three children, James, Ryleigh, and Luke, and live in Huntersville. I have been married to my husband, Dennis, for over eleven years. We originally hail from California, but moved to Charlotte in 2006 in search of more affordable living. We have been led by God from the beginning of our parenthood journey to have me stay at home with our children. Praise Him, for He has continually found a way for me to do that!

I graduated from The George Washington University in 1999 with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Criminal Justice and Religion. During my time in D.C. I worked as a tutor for low-income and homeless children and caught the teaching bug. I received my single subject teaching credential (social sciences) from Cal State San Marcos in 2001. I have taught in public schools and private tutoring centers, and have managed a variety of non-profit educational programs throughout my career. I consider this experience great preparation for motherhood!

I am passionate about feeding my family well and consider it a blessing to be writing the Healthy Living section for The Charlotte Moms. I look forward to getting to know you.

Jennifer is The Charlotte Moms' Editor-in Chief and a child of Christ. She has lived in the Charlotte area for 5 years with her roller coaster blogging husband and her two beautiful daughters. She is a self-proclaimed Jill-of-all-trades and is passionate about organizing events and her home. She loves Social Media and blogging and also writes for MommyBKnowsBest.com and freelances for other brands and companies as well.
