Meet the Moms: Della – Guest Contributor

I am so excited to have been asked to join THE Moms of TheCharlotteMoms.com. I am amazed that God has called me to share His word through my experiences and writing. I pray that I clearly follow His guidance to make an impact for Him.

Currently I am a stay-at-home mom of two amazing boys, one in high school, and the other in middle school. I have been married to the perfect man for me since 1996. I thank God for each day He has given me with him and our boys. Although it comes with its trials, it has been the best ride of my life.

Before marriage and family, I received my B.S. in psychology, followed by a few years of trying to find myself in jobs that were not for me. I then went back to graduate school and received my Masters in Human Resource Development and Management. I was in a great job with the best boss in the world (I adored her) when Steve and I got married, then pregnant and had our first son. When our son was 3 months old, Steve was made an offer in Charlotte we could not refuse. A month later, we moved from our home in Richmond, VA to Matthews, NC (1998) and have remained in the same house since. The move came with its struggles, but has been an absolute God- send for us. I don’t believe we would have grown as a couple and family the way we have, had we remained where we were.

Last summer, through many God placed circumstances, I was able to attend the Proverbs31 She Speaks conference. I am now a “graduate” of the Speaking Track. This year I am blessed enough to be attending the Writer’s Track of the conference. To be honest, I have never felt qualified to teach others Jesus’ greatness through speaking or writing, but God continually puts things in my path to get me where he wants me. Joining the Charlotte Moms is one of my biggest steps yet.
