I am so stinkin’ excited to say that I am going to Carowinds this Saturday!! I have lived in the Charlotte area for 6 years now and have only peeked at the massive coasters as I fly past them on 77.

This weekend, as Howl-O-Fest’s Boo Blast returns to the park, the good folks at Carowinds have graciously extended an invitation to The Charlotte Moms to attend this family-friendly event. My husband and I cannot wait to bring the kids!

Known as The Thrill Capital of the Southeast, Carowinds is perhaps best known for its wickedly scary SCarowinds Halloween Haunt, geared for a more mature audience. Howl-O-Fest’s Boo Blast, on the other hand, is fun for the whole family. The park’s Paladium Amphitheatre Plaza is transformed into a street party of fun-scary (not scary-scary) activities, attractions, and shows. Families can sing and dance with Snoopy and his friends, make their way through a hay bale maze, watch puppet shows, participate in a costume parade, and even trick-or-treat each day from 2-4 p.m. All of this fun is included with the price of daytime admission to Carowinds! Howl-O-Fest’s Boo Blast activities take place on Saturdays and Sundays only, October 6–28, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Daytime park hours are from 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

I am very much looking forward to this day and sharing pictures of our family enjoying all that Carowinds has to offer. If you have any tricks or tips for making a day at Carowinds truly spectacular, please leave a comment below!

I received complimentary park admission in return for my honest opinions on this event and Carowinds. My thoughts and words in this post are my own, however yours may vary.

This was pretty fun last year and definitely not too spooky for our young kids. I recommend it. The Boo Blast area is kid friendly.

But if you want to do some rides, you’ll have to go to the park’s main kids area, Planet Snoopy. Just be ready to distract your kids or explain to them that they may see a few skeletons, creepy statues, etc. on their way to Planet Snoopy.
