The 3rd Annual Rock & Read 5K Run & Festival hosted by the Friends of the Library is SATURDAY!!! It will start and finish at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library: Scaleybark Branch, 101 Scaleybark Road, Charlotte, NC 28209. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race begings at 8 a.m.

The Rock & Read 5K will also have a 1 mile fun run/walk and a Kid’s Dash. The 5K and 1 mile run/walks are open to all ages and fitness levels. All proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library books and materials budget.
Throughout the race you’ll be treated to music at every mile from great local musicians. Upon completing the race (and throughout the Kid’s Dash) we’ll have two different local bands playing as well. We’re excited to have so many different type of music for you.
And… if the tunes weren’t enough of a treat, we’ll also have breakfast sandwiches from Toast, beer from Red Oak, and mimosas with sparkling wine from Wine Vault an other treats awaiting you too.
